Fighting With Your Pocket Book: Boycott To Defend Religious Liberty

It's time we as Christians talk with our wallets. We need to stop buying and stop using any product or service from any company that would deny us our religious liberty. Let's go straight to the bathroom. Now we know by now Target will let any Transgender person use whatever bathroom they want to. The transconfused person may not be the issue, but the pervert acting like a transconfused person is the issue. There is no way to distinguish between the two because this is all based on feelings. Now I'm sure not all transconfused people are bad and not all are good just like every other type of anything on earth. Bad people will use this to hurt innocent people. That is why it is not safe. Let's get back to these companies that do not act on our behalf (Christians) but on the behalf of all things we think are wrong with this world. I know Disney is a big one and as a Christian, I think we should speak with our pocketbooks and boycott these companies like Disney. Here is a quote from Disney about the Georgia religious freedom law:

Disney issued a statement saying, "...we will plan to take our business elsewhere should any legislation allowing discriminatory practices be signed into state law."

Now I don't think protecting Christians is discriminating against others. Their statement alone shows they do not hold any values of ours as Christians. We need to withhold our money from them while praying that they change their hearts and minds. They won't discriminate against anyone by letting Christians have their freedom too.

Here is a list of some other companies that we need to watch. I do not know all of the companies, but we should keep our eyes and ears open to learn all we can about which ones we should support and ones we should not support.

Similar sentiments have been voiced by AMC Networks, which films "The Walking Dead" in Georgia, as well a list of other corporations. Viacom, Delta, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Intel and representatives for two of Georgia's sports teams -- The Falcons and The Braves. Paypal also should be boycotted. They are withholding business from North Carolina because of the bathroom bill.

Another big one is the NFL, I am tired of the NFL pushing this agenda. We should seriously consider boycotting them too.

The NFL has also warned the bill's passage could derail Atlanta' s plans to host the Super Bowl as early as 2019.

This is not an easy task, boycotting some of theses stores and businesses. For me, Target is going to be a hard one. I get all my work clothes there and some of my regular clothes there. I also get other oddball stuff from Target that I only like getting from there, but I am not shopping there anymore. I have cut up my Target red card and cancelled it. I am also not giving any money to Disney. This may be the hardest because they own movie brands like Marvel and Star Wars and I love to watch these movies. I will look for another way to watch these without giving money to Disney.

Good luck to everyone who is talking with your wallet. I will pray for us all and I hope everyone else will do the same. We need to stick together as Christians. Show kindness and love but stand firm in our faith with Christ never forsaking Him.

I would also like to bring Donald Trump into this. Here is his quote:

Here is Ted Cruz to contrast each candidate:

Trump's comments do not align with my Christian faith. Number one, we should not give up our faith or principles at the first sign of financial strife. Just look to the Christian bakers who are suffering and having to pay tens of thousands, if not more, in fines and yet they stand strong. If they went with Trump's policy they would break. Second: he said there has been very little trouble and they should keep it the same; let people go to the bathroom where they FEEL comfortable. Now he shows more of the true Trump. As Christians, is this what we believe in our faith? I would say no. We do not need to hate. We do need to show love but most importantly we need to stand by our faith in Christ in everything we do. I believe Trump only has faith in himself and money. His statements and actions show this to be true.

I have to take a step back from the political edge. From the political abyss. I got a reminder that this blog is not just about politics. It first is about God, faith, family, country, and, somewhere a little down the line from there, is politics. Yes, politics is a very deep passion for me. My faith needs to be just as deep, so I would like to say a prayer for all the candidates. This is not a prayer for any of them winning or losing in the primary or general election. This is for their personal self.

I would like to start with the democrats: Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. I would pray for them, that their hearts and minds would open to God. That if either one says they are a Christian, then they make God Lord of their life and live like it. That they follow the Bible's teachings, and hold themselves accountable.

My prayer for Donald Trump: I pray he actually asks God for forgiveness, because without that I believe you cannot be saved. So Mr. Trump, I pray not only for you to ask God for forgiveness, but for you let him in to your heart and mind. Give God Lordship of your life and live like it.

My next prayer is for Ted Cruz. I believe his heart and mind are already in the right place. So my prayer for him is that God gives strength to him and his family. That God gives him renewing and refreshing every day. I pray that God keeps laying the path before him and gives him the energy, strength, and passion to keep walking it.

Next is Ben Carson and Marco Rubio. I think they have lost their way a little bit. First, with Rubio, I pray for him to get back on track with God. I pray he seeks God's council and wisdom on the issues at hand. I also pray He gives God Lordship over his life and lives like it. I pray for Ben Carson. I pray that politics does not change him because I believe he is a good godly man. I pray for God to give Ben strength to not be enticed by the political elite or political power. To stay true to himself and rely on God for his strength.

My prayer for John Kasich is that he would look to and follow God's teachings. Not just the ones that might be convenient for him. I pray he seeks God for wisdom as he governs his state.

All of these candidates could be great men and women of God if they choose, so let's keep praying for them. I pray blessing over all the candidates.

Now make no mistake, I support Cruz, but this was not about that. This was for me just as much as it was for the candidates. As a Christian, I prayed because I realized I was getting pretty angry. It started as passion, but I realized soon that it had turned to outright anger. I felt true contempt for the other candidates. That isn't how a Christian is supposed to act. So I did what I should've done: I prayed for guidance that I might do the right thing, and that is what this post is all about. I am still going to be passionate, but I will do my best to keep it at passion and not anger. I will point out faults of the candidates and keep to facts with a Christian opinion.

Matt Walsh Gets It Right Again

Matt is a brilliant writer. I love reading his articles and would implore everyone to read his writings.
Below is a link to an article about Trump and his supporters and it is absolutely genius. Check out some of my articles on The American Believer like Donald Trump's Character and Trump has no substance.

Donald Trump's Character

Donald is not being totally honest about a lot of things. As I listened to him and watched him speak, I noticed that what he says depends on the crowd, interviewer, or the person he is talking to. He would never say to a Christian crowd that with his presidency, gay equality will move forward, but he would say it to a lesbian interviewer (Click Here For Video Of The Interview). He also said in Iowa that he will expand ethanol subsidies because that is what they want to hear. He tries and fails to quote his favorite Bible verse (Click Here For Article). Another thing that bothers me, is how he acts when he doesn't get his way. He throws tantrums and says, "I'm running 3rd party or I'm going to sue. This is childish. He also likes to run people down by saying really nasty thing about them (Click Here For Video). Finally he was outright dishonest about not supporting an invasion of Iraq after 9/11. Here is the audio Trump On The Howard Stern Show On Sept, 11, 2002. All of this is relevant to his character. It shows he may not be what he says he is.

Is America Transgendering?

The answer for me would be no. I still think there are enough people with a brain in their heads that know this is crazy. These people are sick that includes the liberals that think it is ok. I have recently read an article that really said it all. It truly is a great article and very well written. Way better than I could of done.
